A former Counsel with the Law firm of Chief Afe Babalola SAN & Co., was involved in numerous cases at the High Courts, Federal High Court, National Industrial Court, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. He has core competence in litigation, solicitorship, liaison duties and has also taken part in a number of arbitration proceedings. He has through his legal opinions added to the build up and prosecution of cases covering numerous fields of endeavour in the course of his career. He has also been involved actively in intellectual property practice where he has prepared copyright protection agreements for several upcoming music artists. One of his strongest points however is his ability to give dispassionate opinions on issues without allowing sentiments come into play.
Prior to joining the legal profession, Simon Ochala Onu had acquired a wide range of experience in various fields of endeavours, having worked for over 10 years in the Banking (3 years) and the Manufacturing sector of the Nigerian economy (7 years). Simon Ochala Onu acquired a first degree in Linguistics in 1988 from University of Calabar and a Masters degree from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in Political Science 1992, majoring in International Relations. He was appointed a Notary Public on 8th November, 2013. This background has equipped him with requisite versatility to cope with a demanding work environment, good attitude towards team work, the humility and perseverance to obtain the required results in any pursuit or assignment within and outside the law.
Victor Olutayo Agbogun Esq., LL.B (Hons.) AAU Ekpoma; B.L. Dip., in Mgt. Unical
A Senior Counsel who has spent over 15 years practicing as a human rights activist, providing pro-bono services to indigent awaiting pre-trial detainees. He worked with Justice Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) for several years at the National Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria. He undertook several collaborative legal project with Chief Olisa Agbakoba SAN Huri-Laws.
He has been in legal practice for over twenty six (26) years and his latest endeavours has been in the area of using information technology and statistics to observe elections in Nigeria, having spent some years as the project manager of Project Swift Count, a coalition of National Non-Governmental Organizations made up of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Justice Development & Peace Commission (JDPC), Transition Monitoring Group (TMG) and Federation of Muslim Women’s Organizations in Nigeria (FOMWAN).
He has a lot of experience in civil rights causes and has also undertaken several courses within Nigeria and abroad. He is on the Board of Trustees of Health Emergency Initiative (HEI), a Non-Governmental Organization involved in providing for indigent accident and health victims in Lagos State.
Alexander Ikhane Esq., LL.B [Hons.] AAU; B.L
Alexander is a young vibrant lawyer, who has been exposed to numerous cases at the various Courts in the FCT.
Prior to studying law, he had worked in some departments of construction companies, notable amongst the construction companies he has worked is Messrs Julius Berger Nigeria. He has a strong passion for litigation and corporate practice.
